How often do I need to certify my fire suppression equipment?

The answer to this can vary widely by the system and by the state in which the system it is installed. Please contact us for the details and state requirements governing your system.

Why can't I buy fire extinguishers at a hardware store and use them as my "certified" fire suppression system?

Fire extinguishers (even new ones) must be certified to NFPA and State standards.

Are you limited to the size of the system that you can inspect, maintain, and, certify?

NAFS services systems are made up of a single unit and as large as hundreds. In short, no job is too large or too small.

Can NAFS service and certify fire protection systems in other states?

North Atlantic Fire & Safety services and certifies fire suppression systems, sprinklers, and fire extinguishers in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
